Dear readers,

please find below the first edition of 2013 of the newsletter of the Western Balkan countries INCO-NET (project on Coordination of Research Policies with the Western Balkan Countries). As usual it provides numerous event announcements, calls for papers, applications, experts etc.

With this newsletter, we would like to draw your attention on the upcoming financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union: the Horizon 2020 EU programme.

It is a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness running from 2014 to 2020 with an approximate €70 billion budget.
