Learning objectives
Training students for systematicity, accuracy, organization and aesthetics when creating drawings and technical documentation. Mastering the basics of the conventional and modern way of making technical drawings and communicating through drawings.
Learning outcomes
Use of techniques, skills and modern software tools in mining and geological practice. Work independently or in a team composed of experts from different profiles. Analyzing and interpreting the results of conducted research and testing and solving specific problems based on the same results. Independent production of drawings of mining and geological objects, application of various projections in engineering graphics of mines with surface and underground exploitation. Application of grapho-analytical methods in the interpretation of the spatial position and geometry of objects.
Content
Types of design. Technical documentation. Technical papers. Types of drawings. Coordinate system. Formats. Scale. Header and component. Technical letter. Lines. Quadrants and octants. Point projection. Projections are longer, straight and straight. Spatial relationships of point, line and plane (special positions, penetration of a line through a plane and a figure, collapse of a plane, inclined and inclined angle). The right size of lengths, angles and characters. Rules of technical drawing (outer appearance drawing, sections, hatching, simplifications in drawing). Marking of the condition of the surface and the type of material. Dimensioned projection of a point, line and plane. Interval and dip of the line. Fall of the field. Sections of solids from the plane: prism, cylinder, pyramid, cone; Topographic surfaces. Cross-sections at the surface mine. Application of quoted projection in mining. Platform. Horizontal straight path. Transport road, cut, embankment and canal. Basic symbols used in mining. Body penetrations: two prisms; roller and cup, roller and prism. Block diagram. Showing the ore layer by cutting. Application of grapho-analytical methods for the interpretation and determination of geometrical elements of open pit mines and mines with underground exploitation of mineral raw materials. Electronic drawing and design - CAD/CAM systems; familiarization with electronic principles, concepts and systems for making technical drawings.
Teaching Methods
Lectures, exercises on paper, work on the computer, making graphic works, consultations.
