Learning objectives
Introduction to political science is one of the basic political science subjects and that is why it is studied in the first year of study. Within the Introduction to Political Science, students are introduced to the basics of political science and the most important political phenomena. These are phenomena such as politics, state, power, democracy, elites, ideology, parties, leadership, political culture and globalization. The main goal of the Introduction to Political Science course is to prepare students for further work and mastering other political science subjects.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course Introduction to Political Science, the student acquires and develops the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary for further studies within the enrolled study program.
Content

Teaching Methods
It is envisaged that classes will be conducted through classes and exercises in accordance with the adopted academic calendar and schedule of classes and exercises for the current semester in which they are conducted.

Evaluation and grading
Checking knowledge and determining how active students are in teaching is done throughout the semester. Knowledge is tested using two colloquia, and students' activity is expressed through writing seminar papers, regular attendance, participation in debates, preparation of presentations and other forms of creative participation in the teaching process. In this way, students fulfill the pre-examination obligations through which they can gain 50 points (two colloquia of 20 points each, a seminar paper of 5 points and an orderly and active attendance of 5 points). The final exam is conducted orally and it tests knowledge from the entire material, and carries a maximum of 50 points. The final grade is performed by adding the points from the pre-exam obligations and the points from the exam.
