Getting to know the basic principles of the methodology of ecology teaching and environmental protection. Introducing students to forms of methodical thinking and professional methodical training for planning teaching material in the field of ecology.

Theoretical teaching: Importance of methodical education, subject, goal, tasks, connection with other disciplines. Educational goals, tasks, and content in ecology teaching. Curriculum and syllabus. Tests in ecology teaching. Correlation and coordination of educational content. Development of a system of ecological ideas and concepts, development of ecological awareness, work-technical practicality, and moral qualities. The specificity of the application of teaching principles. Work methods in teaching ecology, basic and special. Forms, types, and organization of teaching ecology. Forms of teaching, basic types of teaching, and special types of teaching. Homework and school assignments, evaluation of student work. Teaching facility and teaching aids, evaluation scales. Teacher preparation for ecology teaching and environmental protection. Professional and didactic-methodical training of teachers. Practical teaching: Writing preparation for class, monthly and annual work plan. Visiting at school, analysis of lessons from visiting. Student trial classes.
