Project RETLAMI-SEE: A Call for Applications to the Workshop at the FPN UNIBL

A two-day Workshop „Publishing in Peer-Reviewed Journals” will be held from 19 to 20 March 2026 at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, as a part of the Horizon Europe project RETLAMI-SEE.

The Workshop is intended for researchers in the field of humanistic and social studies, with a special focus on doctoral students.

The Workshops are led by editors of scientific magazines indexed in SCOPUS and WoS of the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) from Regensburg. They are the Editor of Comparative Southeast European Studies magazine, Sabine Rutar, and the Editor of Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas magazine, Katharina Kucher.

During the Workshop, the participants will get an insight into the functioning of scientific magazines, editorial policies, and a peer review process, as well as recommendations on publication strategies. A special segment of the program is dedicated to practical work – the advancement of research issues and improvement of Abstracts through structured exercises and direct feedback from the editors.
