Lecture on social innovation in the community

Aleksandar Božić, PhD, from the University of Stavanger in Norway visited the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, where he delivered a lecture entitled “Civil society organisations and social innovation in the community”.
The lecture was intended for third- and fourth-year social work students, who had the opportunity to learn about practical examples of social innovation and good practice based on the guest lecturer’s extensive international experience. Through an interactive presentation, prof. Božić, PhD spoke about the role of civil society organisations in the development of local communities, as well as the importance of innovative approaches in addressing contemporary social challenges.
The lecture marked the start of activities within the Erasmus+ Global Mobility project, implemented in partnership between the University of Stavanger and the University of Banja Luka for the period from October 2025 to October 2028. The project coordinator at the University of Banja Luka is prof. Andrea Puhalić, PhD, while the project leader is prof. Aleksandar Božić, PhD.
