Professor Saša Hajduković directed the most-watched domestic series “Tvrđava”
HighlightsUniversity of Banja Luka-Associate professor of Film and Television Directing at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka, Saša Hajduković, MA, directed the drama series “Tvrđava”, which quickly became the most-watched domestic programme.
The series follows a couple in love, Luka and Darija, who try to grow up, become independent and start a family while friendships, families and the state around them fall apart. Across 11 episodes, viewers follow their lives, as well as the lives of their relatives and friends, during the turbulent years of the breakup of Yugoslavia. A special focus is placed on the family and everything it entails: moral dilemmas, conflicts, reconciliation and love. Although the events are set within a historical context, universal emotions and the struggle for good make the series relevant to all generations.
“Tvrđava” is a Serbian television series written by Mirko Stojković and Goran Starčević, and the final episode was broadcast on 14 December 2025 on the TV channel RTS1. The series was produced by Miloš Avramović, the director of the popular crime franchise “Južni vetar”.
The leading roles are played by Ognjen Mićović and Darija Vučko, alongside Ljubomir Bandović, Nikola Pejaković, Jovo Maksić, Nikolina Friganović and Slaviša Čurović. Other roles are performed by Miki Manojlović, Slađana Zrnić, Nebojša Dugalić, Miodrag Radonjić, Jovan Jovanović, Jana Bjelica and Marko Todorović, among others.
