Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH visited UNIBL

Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Ambassador Rick Holtzapple, on 9 December 2025 in the UNIBL Rectorate, and the discussion was directed to the cooperation so far between the University and the OSCE, and the possibility of improvement.

Rector Gajanin pointed to the possibility of organizing additional thematic lectures by OSCE representatives at the university, with the focus on security issues.

The Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources, Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, emphasized the active participation of UNIBL in projects financed by the European Union. He presented an example of the Across Alliance of European universities, where the UNIBL is the only fully-fledged member from non-EU countries, with the aim of higher horizontal mobility of students and teaching staff, through compatible structures, programs, and graduation profiles.

Along with Ambassador Holtzapple, the Head of the Regional Office of OSCE in Banja Luka, Christophe Fortier-Guay, was also in the OSCE delegation.

After the meeting, Ambassador Holtzapple held a lecture at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the UNIBL, titled: “Perspectives of the new generation: Why is the OSCE Mission still important in BiH”.
