Ana Sibinčić chairs UNIBL SP
HighlightsUniversity of Banja LukaAna Sibinčić, a student at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka, has been re-elected president of the Student Parliament of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL SP).
The election took place at the constitutive session of the 18th convocation of the Student Parliament, held on 23 December 2025 at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, at which Željko Milićević, a student of the Faculty of Law, and Luka Krstić, a student of the Faculty of Security Sciences, were elected vice-presidents of SP UNIBL.
As decided at the session, the position of secretary was entrusted to Dejan Banjac, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of the University of Banja Luka, and student members of the University Senate were also elected, as well as the student representative on the Management Board of the University of Banja Luka.
The session was also attended by the rector of the University of Banja Luka, prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, who emphasised that the University and the Student Parliament maintain successful and continuous cooperation.
“So far, our students have submitted numerous proposals aimed at improving the student standard, as well as at organising and implementing various project activities. The number of activities carried out by the Student Parliament has been increasing year after year”, said rector Gajanin, stressing that through their engagement, students represent important promoters of the University of Banja Luka, its faculties and the Academy of Arts.
Adviser to the minister for scientific and technological development and higher education, prof. Željana Jovičić, PhD, said that this constitutive session of the Student Parliament once again demonstrated the strength of the students and the University of Banja Luka.
She added that the leadership, which will continue the successful work of the previous period, was elected in a democratic and academic manner. Jovičić emphasised that the line ministry will continue to make efforts to support the University by improving working and study conditions, as well as the material status.
The president of UNIBL SP, Ana Sibinčić, thanked those present for their support and trust, and stated that the Student Parliament will continue with activities aimed at improving the student standard.
“Our goal is for the University of Banja Luka to remain the most beautiful and most desirable place to study”, she emphasised.
The session was also attended by the vice-rector for human and material resources of UNIBL, prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD.
