UNIBL strengthens ties with the best medical institutions in China

Rector of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met with the Director of the International Medical Center Hainan and the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University ‘Jiao Tong’, Prof. Tong Tianlang, PhD, on 14 November 2025.

During the meeting in the Rectorate of the UNIBL, they discussed the possibilities of establishing concrete cooperation in the field of medical sciences. Professor Tianlang pointed out that the Medical Faculty of the University ‘Jiao Tong’ is one of the best-ranked in China, especially in the fields of public health, clinical medicine and medical technologies, as well as the application of Artificial Intelligence in clinical practice.

Rector Gajanin stressed that all research areas, along with the exchange of students and teachers, are fully complementary to study programs and scientific activities of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka. It was agreed that the first step in continuing cooperation would be the preparation and signing of the cooperation agreement.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD, said that during the upcoming visit of the Chinese delegation to the Faculty of Medicine and the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, there will be more detailed talks about the exchange of young researchers and other forms of future cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the UNIBL, Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, Director of the Office for International Exchange at Hainan, Cheong Io Hong, and an Officer for International Student Exchange at the Medical Faculty of the University ‘Jiao Tong’, Qian Cihang.
