UNIBL at the International Week of Mendel University in Brno
University of Banja LukaGeneralRepresentatives of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics Andrej Ševa and head of the Office for International and Inter-University Cooperation, Đorđe Kenjalo, MA, participated in the International Week of Mendel University in Brno, held from 3 to 7 November 2025.
Within activities of the International Week, Ševa and Kenjalo had the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Horticulture, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, and the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies. In addition, the representatives took part in workshops related to innovations in the fields of international cooperation and mobility, university management, and sustainability.
During the International Week, an International Student Festival was also held, where the University representatives had the opportunity to meet with UNIBL students currently carrying out mobilities at this Czech institution. The students expressed their satisfaction with the exchange programme and the study conditions at Mendel University.
Mendel University in Brno, named after the father of genetics Gregor Johann Mendel, is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country, founded in 1919. The University comprises five faculties and one institute, focusing on sustainable development, natural sciences, and economics.
Currently, approximately 10,000 students are enrolled at this University.
