Representatives of the University of Banja Luka on a study visit to IOS in Regensburg

Representatives of the University of Banja Luka stayed on a study visit to Leibniz Institute for Eastern and Southeastern Europe Studies (IOS Regensburg) from 24 to 27 November 2025, within the project RETLAMI-SEE that is financed from the “Horizon Europe” program.

The team was composed of: Milica Marić from the Center for Development and Research Support, Nataša Čereković from the same Center, the Manager of the Library of the Faculty of Philosophy, Dragan Dragomirović, PhD, and a Clerk for the 2nd and 3rd cycle studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Tamara Nježić.

During their stay in Regensburg, representatives of the UNIBL got acquainted with the complete life cycle of a project – from preparation and project application (pre-award) to managing, financial reporting, and implementation of activities (post-award). The hosts presented the organizational scheme of research services, access to financing from third sources, and the significance of library infrastructure in the support of scientific work and the visibility of the researchers.

A separate part of the program was dedicated to managing the Public Relations, financial control, and principles of open science, open access, and managing research data in accordance with FAIR standards.

The visit resulted in an agreement about continuing cooperation with IOS, creating joint work forms, exchanging documentation, and planning the ‘shadowing’ activities for further strengthening of professional capacities.

This activity was realized within the RETLAMI-SEE project, directed towards improving administrative and research structures in the region of Southeastern Europe.
