Dr Đokanović lecturer at a prestigious conference in China

From 6 to 9 November 2025, dr Dejan Đokanović, PhD, assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka and medical oncologist, participated as an invited lecturer at the Chinese Conference on Holistic and Integrative Oncology (CCHIO 2025), held in the city of Kunming, China.

This exceptionally well-attended prestigious international event, organised under the auspices of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) and the World Association of Integrative Oncology (WAIO), brought together numerous participants and experts from around the world, confirming the importance of holistic and integrative approaches in contemporary oncology.

Assist. prof. Đokanović delivered a lecture during the conference entitled “Our Experience in the Application of Immunotherapy in the Treatment of Melanoma: Challenges and Outcomes”, which stimulated a constructive discussion on the use of modern immunotherapeutic modalities in clinical practice.

The participation of assistant professor Đokanović in CCHIO 2025 significantly contributed to strengthening the international cooperation of the University of Banja Luka, increasing the institution’s visibility, academic reputation and research standing. During the congress, important contacts were established with experts from Europe and Asia, opening up opportunities for future scientific projects, clinical trials, knowledge exchange and joint initiatives, and further positioning the Faculty of Medicine and the University as relevant partners in global oncology initiatives.
