Vice-Rector Kesić at the round table on enrolment policies and the labour market

The vice-rector for human and material resources of the University of Banja Luka, prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, attended the Employment Fair on the mountain of Jahorina on 7 October 2024, where he participated in the round table entitled “Aligning enrolment policies with the real needs of the labour market”.

The round table brought together representatives of line ministries and agencies and higher education institutions with the aim of discussing ways to improve the connection between the education system and the labour market.

In addition to representatives of the University of Banja Luka, the round table included representatives of the Employment Bureau of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Labour, War Veterans and Disabled Persons' Protection, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism, the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, and the University of East Sarajevo.

The Employment Fair on Jahorina was organised with the aim of connecting employers, government institutions and educational institutions in the process of creating conditions for better employment rates for young people in the Republic of Srpska.

The participation of representatives of the University of Banja Luka represented continuous support for activities aimed at improving the employment of young professionals and developing cooperation with the business sector.

The Fair was organised by the Bureau in cooperation with the Tourist Organisation of the City of East Sarajevo, the “Vučko” Hotel, and the hotelier associations “Jahorina” and “Moja Jahorina” from Pale.
