Students from three continents learn Serbian

The Center for Serbian as a foreign language at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka organizes the beginner’s course of the Serbian language for foreign students and teachers who stay at the University of Banja Luka as a part of an exchange program.

The course participants are coming from various parts of the world, Russia, the United States of America, and South Korea, which gives this program an international character and a significant contribution to the internationalization of the teaching process at the University.

The course has 60 classes divided over 15 weeks, with 4 classes held weekly. The program was envisaged in such a way that the participants, upon completion, reach the A1 level of the Serbian language, which enables them to conduct everyday basic communication and facilitates their way around in the academic and social surroundings. After the completion of the course and passing of the final exam, the participants receive a certificate for completing the course.

The classes are held by Prof. Mijana Kuburić Macura, PhD, Prof. Slađana Cukut, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Nina Govedar, PhD.
