Paid practice for UNIBL students

University of Banja LukaGeneral

The University of Banja Luka (UNIBL) and UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka signed a Cooperation Agreement on 8 October 2025 in the Rectorate of UNIBL, which opens a path for students to acquire practical knowledge and experiences in the banking sector.

The Agreement envisions the implementation of various activities that will support both the education and professional growth of students through the voluntary participation of the Bank’s staff in the teaching process, student practice, and various events organized by the University.

A particular importance for students has the program of paid practice “The first big opportunity”, which the UniCredit Bank is organizing for the 8th year in a row. This program enables final-year students to apply the obtained knowledge in a real business setting, simultaneously developing the key skills for future careers.

Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, pointed out that this partnership is of great importance for the students of UNIBL.

“We thank the Bank for the opportunity to enable a paid practice for our students, and a wider partnership that will open the door to new forms of cooperation. I am confident this Agreement will contribute to better preparation of our students for the labor market”, said rector Gajanin.

The CEO of the UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka, Spas Vidarkinsky, emphasized that signing this document is a continuation of the Bank’s long-term dedication to education and support for the young.

“Our vision is to be a reliable partner to the communities we do business with, and particularly to the young people. We believe that through programs such as “The first big opportunity”, we not only give students a chance for practice, but also support in their professional and personal development,” said Vidarkinsky.

The Agreement, signed for the period of one year, was signed by the rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, the CEO of UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka, Spas Vidarkinsky, and the Bank’s Board Member for Human Resources and Corporate Culture, Diana Bevanda.
