Invitation to an online workshop on the gender dimension in research

Within the activities on RETLAMI-SEE project at the University of Banja Luka, the project Consortium is organizing an interactive online workshop titled “Integrating Gender Dimension in Research on Migration&Labor”, which will be held on 23 October 2025, from 12.00 to 14.00 hours, via Zoom platform.

The Workshop will be led by Jovana Mihajlović Trbovc, PhD, from the Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Art (ZRC SAZU). The goal of the event is to shed some light on the significance of including the gender perspective in all stages of scientific work.

Starting from the example of a study of political sciences, labor, and migrations, the workshop will point to the risks of neglecting the gender analysis and presenting the gender dimension as a key criterion of scientific excellence. The participants will have a chance to get acquainted with the principles of gender-sensitive ethnography, intersectional approaches, and ethical aspects of gender-awareness research, as well as to consider ways of integrating gender perspectives in their own projects.

The workshop is based on the Manual for Integrating a Gender-Sensitive Approach to Research and Teaching. It will be held in the English language, and it is intended for scientists in various disciplines who wish to improve the vigor and social impact of their work.
