UNIBL at an international leadership dialogue and a conference in Gothenburg
University of Banja LukaGeneralThe Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation at the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), Prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD, participated in EAIE-IAU international leadership dialogue titled “Managing the internationalization in turbulent times”, which was held at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, on 9 September 2025.
It is a prestigious event that gathered representatives of 21 higher education institutions from 19 countries of the world, and it was dedicated to the exchange of experiences, ideas, and best practices in the field of international cooperation in higher education. The focus of the dialogue was on challenges and possibilities of internationalization in contemporary global surroundings, and on strengthening partner networks and finding innovative solutions for more quality cooperation.
After the leadership dialogue, Prof. Pantelić Babić participated in the 35th conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), which was held from 9 to 12 September in Gothenborg where she represented the University of Banja Luka, met with the members of the European University Across Alliance, where the University of Banja Luka is a full member, and with representatives of other European alliances.
This year’s conference, under the slogan “Go-Create”, brought together over 7000 participants from more than 100 countries, and it is the largest European event dedicated to internationalization of higher education that has already surpassed the area of the European continent. During the four days of the conference, there were more than 200 sessions and workshops, while in the exhibition section, there were more than 250 institutions and organizations from around the world.
The University of Banja Luka, with its participation in the leadership dialogue and the EAIE conference, reaffirmed its dedication to advancing international cooperation and active participation in the global academic community through the exchange of experiences, developing new partnerships, and strengthening the existing cooperation network.
