Professors of the Faculty of Philology at a Congress in Paris

At the 17th International Congress of Slavic languages experts, which was held from 25 to 30 August 2025 at the University of Sorbonne, Paris, and gathered about 850 scientists from 40 countries, two professors from the Serbica cathedra of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Banja Luka presented the results of their research.

In the ethnolinguistic section, Prof. Dijana Crnjak, PhD, presented a paper “Serb Christmas customs in the Republic of Srpska: ethnolinguistic aspects”, while in the stylistic section an Associate Professor Goran Milašin, PhD, presented a paper “Styllogenics of transformation of accustomed constructions and quotations in the social media language.”

On the occasion of a hundred years of teaching the Serbian language in France, a reception for Serbian Slavic languages experts, Congress participants, and influential promoters of Serbia, was organized in the premises of the Serbian Embassy in France on 27 August, while a visit to the Serbian Cultural Center in Paris took place on 30 August.
