Professor Kapović Solomun - a lecturer at the International Forum in Seoul

At the invitation of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and Korean Department of Forestry, supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea, Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, Marijana Kapović Solomun, PhD, was a lecturer at the International Forum on the Peace Forest Initiative (PFI), held on 1 and 2 September 2025 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The Forum aimed to establish cooperation, exchange experiences and lessons learned, and build political support for the realization of this global initiative. The event brought together delegations of many countries, representatives of the Korean government, and the UN bodies and agencies.

The particular significance of Prof. Kapović Solomun, PhD, is that she was an invited speaker at this important international event, which emphasized the importance of regional and global networking in combating soil degradation and improving sustainable management of natural resources.
