The Branko Award goes to a student at the Faculty of Philology
University of Banja LukaGeneral-Neven Miljatović, a second-cycle student of Serbian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Banja Luka, has been awarded second prize in the Branko Award competition of the Matica Srpska for student papers in the field of literary studies.
He won the award for his undergraduate thesis in Russian and Serbian Language and Literature entitled “Dorotej and Laurus: Two Novels about the Middle Ages”, mentored by Assist. Prof. Andreja Marić, PhD.
The jury, composed of prof. Vojislav Jelić, PhD (chair), prof. Nataša Polovina, PhD, prof. Dragana Vukićević, PhD, prof. Maja Medan Orsić, PhD, and prof. Sanja Paripović Krčmar, PhD, reviewed papers submitted from faculties of philology and philosophy in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Niš, Banja Luka, and Nikšić.
The award ceremony will be held on 15 September 2025 at the Matica Srpska seat in Novi Sad.
