New Benches in the University City

As part of the national project “Strengthening Capacities for Waste Management in the Protected Area Monument of Landscape Architecture – University City”, the University of Banja Luka has procured a number of bins for efficient municipal waste management, as well as park benches that fit into the setting of the University City.

The project team emphasizes that raising public awareness about the importance of proper waste management is one of the key segments of environmental policy, serving as a prerequisite for lasting and sustainable solutions in this field.

The coordinators of this project, funded by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund of the Republic of Srpska, with co-financing from the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, are Predrag Govedarica, MA, Senior Associate for Development and Entrepreneurship at the University, and Prof. Marina Antić, PhD, Director of the Institute for Genetic Resources of the University of Banja Luka.
