Faculty of Medicine hosted students from Shanghai

From 24 August to 7 September 2025, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka is hosting a group of students from the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

During their two-week stay in Banja Luka, the Chinese students will attend professional seminars, lectures and workshops, and visits are also planned to leading health institutions in the Republic of Srpska, namely: the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska, the “Dr Miroslav Zotović” Institute and the Slatina Spa.

In addition to the academic segment, the visit includes numerous cultural and social activities: an evening of tradition, museum and historical site tours, rides in dajak boats, rafting, as well as excursions to the hill of Banj brdo, the Kozara Mountain, and the town of Krupa na Vrbasu. All the activities will also include local students, organised through the Srpska Medical Students’ International Committee (SaMSIC).

This visit is a continuation of successful cooperation between the University of Banja Luka and the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences, initiated by the rector, prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD.
