Associate Professor Nina Sajić, PhD, in a Summer School in Mexico

An Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, Nina Sajić, PhD, acted as a lecturer in a Summer School of the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, from 11 to 15 August 2025.

Associate Professor Nina Sajić, PhD, held a joint lecture for attendees of the three schools, titled: “Whose values – a postcolonial view at the European Union and a Global South.“ For the students in Guadalajara she held an additional lecture titled „Europe as a method: decolonization of comparative regionalism from the perspective of Global South.“

The Summer School was realized within the Jean Monnet project „ValEUs“ that is financed by the European Union, which brings together 21 partner institution from 18 countries and five continents. The University of Banja Luka is among the partners. The goal of the project is deeper understanding of the processes of disputing the European values and their implications to foreign policy of the EU.

Simultaneously with the school in Guadalajara, there were parallel Summer Schools at the University of Roskilde in Denmark and the University of Bilgy in Istanbul.
