The teaching staff of the Sociology cathedra visited Germany
GeneralRepresentatives of the Study program Applied Sociology at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Banja Luka, within the project RETLAMI-SEE financed from the Horizon Europe project, stayed in a study visit at the Institute of East and Southeast European studies (IOS) in Regensburg last week.
The team was composed of Prof. Dalibor Savić, PhD, Associate Prof. Anđela Pepić, PhD, and Senior Assistant Bojana Vukojević, PhD, who participated in a number of activities organized in cooperation with several departments of IOS, in the period from 1 to 3 July.
On day one, besides getting acquainted with the said Institute and its library, the program included presenting the RETLAMI-SEE project, the project Transforming Anxieties of ageing in Southeast Europe, along with the Leibniz scientific campus project.
On the second day of the visit, Nino Aivazishvili Gehne, PhD, delivered an advanced seminar “Political anthropology of post-socialist transformations”, and there was a presentation of a book by Prof. Ulf Brunnbauer “In the storms of transformation: two shipyards between socialism and the EU”. The last day was equally intense: meetings and talks with colleagues from seeFField program, representatives of Doctoral schools for East and Southeast European studies, and meetings with representatives from three departments: History, Political Science, and Economics.
The study visit was an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, strengthening academic ties and stimulating further cooperation among partner institutions within the project.
After the visit to Regensburg, the members of the research team dedicated the next two days to field work, as part of an exploratory research project, which is a part of the working package 4 of the RETLAMI-SEE project, in different cities of Germany and Austria.
