Chinese ambassador in the inaugural visit to UNIBL

Rector of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, received the newly appointed ambassador of the P.R. of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Li Fan, on 1 July 2025. 

During the meeting in the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, they spoke about strengthening the cooperation in the sphere of higher education, scientific research activity, and exchange of students and academic staff, with particular reference to past activities of the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka.

Rector Gajanin said that UNIBL cooperates with some twenty universities in China, and expressed hope and expectation that cooperation will be continued and improved.

As a part of the visit, Ambassador Li Fan also visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.

Alongside the Rector, the meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Activity, Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ranko Škrbić, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Biljana Babić, PhD, Associate Professor at the faculty of Political Science, Nina Sajić, PhD, the Director of the Confucius Institute, Associate Professor Ljiljana Stević, PhD, and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philology, Anja Mudrenović, MA.

Alongside the Ambassador, in the delegation of the Embassy there were Director of Political Department, Wang Jian, Economic Advisor, Gai Guoqiang, Attache, Liu Ziqing, and Political Advisor, Helen Qu.
