UNIBL Associates at the Doctoral Conference in Girona

Researcher Sonja Umićević from the Institute of Genetic Resources and associate Goran Banjac from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka participated in the 9th Doctoral Conference of the University of Girona, held from 16 to 19 June 2025.

During the conference, the two presented the results of their research conducted as part of their doctoral dissertations. In the session dedicated to the 13th Sustainable Development Goal – Climate Action, Sonja Umićević presented her paper titled "The Contribution of Glutathione to Tomato Stress Tolerance under Recurrent Flooding Conditions." Banjac participated in the session focused on the 9th Sustainable Development Goal – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, with a presentation titled "Automated Conceptual Database Design Based on Heterogeneous Sources."

As part of the program, participants had the opportunity to attend more than 90 presentations and actively engage in discussions after each session, exchanging ideas and experiences with doctoral students from various European countries.

The event was organized as part of the activities of the ACROSS Alliance.
