Participation in the Final Conference of the SUPPORTER Project 

The final conference of the international project “Securing Sport Education through Innovative and Inclusive Gender Equality Plans” (SUPPORTER) was held from 3 to 6 June 2025 in Prague, with representatives of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL) among the participants.

The Faculty was represented by Prof. Adriana Ljubojević, PhD, Prof. Nikolina Gerdijan, PhD, Prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD, and Assist. Prof. Anđela Pepić, PhD, who heads the Centre for Development and Research Support. They all took an active part in the conference programme.

During the working sessions, the UNIBL team presented the key achievements realised under the project, with a focus on the development and implementation of institutional mechanisms that enhance gender equality in higher education institutions in the field of sport. In addition to presentations, they participated in panel discussions, where they exchanged knowledge, experiences and examples of good practice in inclusive sport education with partners from the remaining 11 other institutions.

The conference in Prague confirmed the importance of international cooperation, interdisciplinary approaches, and joint commitment to creating an equitable and supportive environment in sport for all participants. The UNIBL team once again emphasised the importance of exchange within the region and Europe, towards sustainable development of inclusive policies in the fields of sport and education.

The SUPPORTER project, implemented under the Horizon Europe programme, continues to live on through the practical application of its results and the strengthening of institutional capacities that support equality, inclusion, and accountability in the sport system.
