New scientific achievement by Professor Korać

University of Banja LukaGeneral-

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, Dragan Korać, PhD, has made a significant scientific contribution in the field of technical sciences, particularly in the application of artificial intelligence in cyber security.

The latest results of his research are presented in the paper “Management of Evaluation Processes and Creation of Authentication Metrics: Artificial Intelligence-based Fusion Framework”, published in the renowned journal Information Processing & Management, issued by Elsevier. The journal is ranked in the first category of the SCI list (Q1 WoS) with an impact factor of 7.4.

The research introduces a new AI-based fusion framework for authentication metrics, in which confidentiality is defined as a key user priority. The new model applies mathematical and computational approaches to the metric evaluation of output authentication solutions, and artificial intelligence is used as an independent factor of authentication.

In this paper, Professor Korać also provides a strong theoretical contribution by demonstrating that the application of artificial intelligence leads to the development of robust and reliable solutions in the field of multi-factor authentication (MFA). The research also points to new directions in the development of automated AI-based MFA algorithms.

In addition to Professor Korać, the co-authors of this particular study are: Prof. Boris Damjanović, PhD, from Union University, Prof. Dejan Simić, PhD, from the University of Belgrade, and Prof. Kong Pu, PhD, from Oklahoma State University.
