HighlightsUniversity of Banja LukaA Call was published for the enrolment of students to the first year of the first, second, and third cycle of studies in the academic year 2025/2026 at the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL).
According to the Call published today, 11 June, the University of Banja Luka plans to enroll a total of 2563 students in the first year of the first cycle of studies, out of which 1851 will be financed from the state budget. There are 370 places for self-financed students, 267 places are reserved for foreign students, and 75 places for part-time students.
It is planned to enroll 913 students in the second cycle of studies. Out of that, 515 students will have the ‘budget’ status, 225 will be self-financing, 70 places are dedicated to foreign students, and 103 to part-time students.
The plan for the third cycle of studies is to enroll 170 candidates. Most of them, 138, will be self-financing students, and there is a place left for one foreign student and one part-time student.

Candidates’ applications
According to the published Call, applying in the first enrolment term to the first cycle of study starts on the 23 June and ends on the 27 June 2025. The entry exam is scheduled for 30 June, starting at 09.00 hours.
At the Faculty of Medicine, the entry exam will be held that day, but starting at 14.00 hrs., while entry exams at the Academy of Arts will take place from 30 June to 4 July. The results are planned to be published on the 2 July, and the enrolment of admitted candidates will be in the period 7 to 11 July.
At the Faculty of Security Studies, the entry exams will be in two groups, on 30 June and on 1 July, starting at 07.00 hours. The preliminary rank list will be published on 4 July, and the final one on the 7 July.
Applications on study programs in English language at the Faculty of Medicine will be from 2 to 27 June, while the on-line entry exam is scheduled for 1 July. The results will be published on 3 July, and the enrolment of admitted candidates will be done in September.
The second enrolment term
The second enrolment term shall be organized for those faculties that do not enroll the planned number of students during the first term. The candidates may apply from 25 to 29 August, and the entry exam will be held on the 1 September, at 09.00 hours.
For the Academy of Arts, the entry exams last until 5 September, and the enrolment of admitted candidates is from 9 to 12 September. At the Faculty of Security Studies, the entry exam shall be on the 2 September.
For the English language programs at the Faculty of Medicine, the second enrolment term is from 4 to 29 August, while the on-line entry exam is scheduled for 2 September. The results will be published on 4 September, and the enrolment of admitted candidates will be done in September.
Publishing of the second term results is planned for 3 September, and the enrolment will be from 8 to 12 September.
The second and third cycle – deadlines
Call for enrolment to second and third cycle of studies is open from 23 June to 3 October.
At the Faculty of Security Studies, the call for the second cycle of studies, for study program Ecological safety, is open to 25 September. The information on rank lists will be published not later than 17 October, while the enrolment of admitted candidates will be from 20 to 24 October.
The candidates applying to the first cycle of studies are obliged to submit birth certificate, citizenship certificate not older than six months, original certificates of secondary school success (all grades) and a graduation certificate.
If applying to more than one study program, candidates may submit certified copies of said documents. It is also necessary to bring the proof of payment for the entry exam fee. The candidates applying to the Faculty of Security Studies and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport must submit the health certificate issued by the Medical Specialist Centre of the University of Banja Luka, while for the Faculty of Security Studies, it is also necessary to submit the certificate of no pending criminal procedure.
Application to the second cycle of studies
Candidates applying to the second cycle of studies are obliged to submit the birth certificate, citizenship certificate not older than six months, original or certifies copy of the first cycle Diploma, certificate on passed exams, Curricula of the completed studies-if completed on a different faculty, and a proof of payment for the entry exam fee.
Application to the third cycle of studies
Candidates applying to the third cycle of studies are obliged to submit the birth certificate, citizenship certificate not older than six months, original or certifies copies of the first and second cycle Diploma, or equivalence of title acquired according to the previous regulations (originals presented for review), diploma supplement or certificate on passed exams with average mark, Curricula of the completed studies-if completed in pre-Bologna program, proof of payment for the administrative fee, and a bibliography.
