Students from the whole of Europe arrive at UNIBL: Students’ General Assembly starts

A session of the General Assembly of the European Students’ Union, titled “Board Meeting 89 – Banja Lukaˮ, an official session of the highest body of this organization, will be opened on 13 May, at 9.45 hours at the Students’ Cultural Center of the University of Banja Luka.

Press statements are scheduled for 9.30 a.m.

The event takes place 89th time, and it is held for the first time in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over 130 students – delegates from students’ unions from more than 40 European countries, are coming together in Banja Luka. Over six days, they will discuss the future of higher education in Europe, student standards, rights, networking, and mutual cooperation.

The event lasts until 18 May, and the participants will bring recommendations and conclusions that will impact the creation of educational policies Europe-wide.

The organizers, the Students’ Parliament of the University of Banja Luka and the Union of Students of the Republic of Srpska, pointed out that this event is a historical opportunity for affirmation of students, the academic community, and the city of Banja Luka in the European education map.
