Students and professors from Turin at the Faculty of Forestry of UNIBL
University of Banja LukaGeneralAcrossAs a part of the Across Alliance program, the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Banja Luka (ŠF UNIBL) hosted a group of 18 students and professors of the University of Turin, from 27 to 30 May 2025.
Along with students, the delegation members were a full professor on the subject Breeding of forests, Giorgio Alberti, PhD, and an expert for remote research and forest management (DI4A), Antonio Tomao, PhD.
During their stay in the Republic of Srpska, the guests visited the rain forest Lom, situated on the territory of Drinić municipality, and the surrounding forests. The Senior Assistant Srđan Bilić, MA, gave a technical lecture on the specifics of forestry in the Republic of Srpska.
There was also a visit to the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Banja Luka, where Prof. Vojislav Dukić, PhD, held a presentation on forest management in the Republic of Srpska and activities of the faculty.
Guests from Italy expressed satisfaction with the organization and the content of the program, pointing out the significance of such academic exchanges for the improvement of knowledge and professional skills. This visit was the start of future common activities within the Across Alliance that will strengthen the cooperation between the institutions.
