Meeting with the Consul of Turkey in Banja Luka

The Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met with the General Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Banja Luka, Mr. Can Aygün, on 20 May 2025.

A good cooperation with higher education institutions in Turkey was mentioned during the meeting, particularly through Erasmus+ program of exchange of students and academic staff.

Special attention during the talks was given to the possibility of continuing with Turkish language courses at the University of Banja Luka. In that context, it was announced that the new cycle of courses might start already this Fall.

Rector Gajanin thanked the Consul for the cooperation thus far, and said that the University of Banja Luka remains open for new initiatives that will contribute to the visibility of the University in the international arena. Consul Aygün expressed the readiness of the General Consulate to continue providing support to initiatives that contribute in connecting academic communities.

The meeting was held in the Rector’s Cabinet and was attended by the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources, Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD.
