Erasmus Exchange: Dean of the Faculty of Forestry on a Visit to Brno

As part of the Erasmus+ credit exchange program implemented by the University of Banja Luka and Mendel University in Brno, PhD Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Vojslav Dukić, and PhD Danijela Petrović visited the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology in Brno from April 7 to 11, 2025.

During their stay, professors from the University of Banja Luka delivered lectures for students and faculty members of Mendel University and got acquainted with the work and organization of the "Josef Ressel" Center. This center combines ten specialized laboratories, including those for composite materials, wood protection and modification, acoustics, mechanical properties of wood, dendrochronology, anatomical structure of wood, bioanalytics, and artificial aging of wood.

In discussions with their colleagues from Brno, the importance of joint scientific research projects was emphasized, and opportunities for further cooperation were explored.

During the visit, PhD Dean Vojslav Dukić also held a working meeting with PhD Dean Libor Janovský, where further collaboration was discussed, and a visit by Dean Janovský to Banja Luka was planned for August 2025.
