Entrance exams for enrolment in the first cycle of studies at all faculties / Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka has been scheduled for 26 June 2023

The call for enrolment of a new generation of students at the University of Banja Luka will be published on 7 June 2023 on the University’s webpage and in the daily newspapers.

As envisaged by the Academic Calendar of the University of Banja Luka, the admission of documents for enrolment of students in the academic year 2023/2024 lasts from 19 to 23 June 2023, while enrolment of candidates who pass the entrance exam and are eligible to enroll is planned from 3 to 7 July 2023. The second enrolment round will be published on 16 August, while the admission of documents required for taking the entrance exam will last from 28 August to 1 September 2023. The plan is to have the entrance exams in the second enrolment round take place on 4 September, and enrolment of eligible candidates conducted from 11 to 15 September 2023.

The University of Banja Luka is the leading higher education and scientific institution in the Republic of Srpska and the second largest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Classes are offered in 66 first-cycle study programmes, 64 second-cycle study programmes and two combined study programmes, and 13 third-cycle study programmes and one combined study programme. Most of the study programmes follow the three-cycle model of 4+1+3, while some faculties follow the 3+2+3 model as well. At the University of Banja Luka there are currently around 15 000 students from all parts of the Republic of Srpska, but also from abroad. From its foundation up until today, altogether 47,406 candidates have obtained diplomas at the University of Banja Luka, namely: 43,683 graduates of the first cycle of studies, 1161 master's degrees, 1176 master's degrees and 886 doctoral degrees.

Most faculties of the University of Banja Luka are placed in two university campuses, near the city centre. The campuses include student dormitories with cafeterias, sports courts, student clubs and the University Computer Centre. The University of Banja Luka has all the requisite space, from classrooms and lecturing halls, through reading rooms and libraries, to laboratories and computer rooms. There is around 16 000 m2 of classroom area, and around 10,000 m2 of laboratory area. Most classrooms are equipped with video projectors and computers for viewing digital content. The University also has 20 computer rooms. The University's libraries hold over 250 000 books and are subscribed to a large number of scientific magazines.
