The manifestation "Days of Vlado Milošević" will be held from 7 to 15 June 2021 at several locations in Banja Luka.
Dean of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka Dragana Purković Macan, MA, said that this higher education institution is organizing the event together with the Musicological Society of the Republic of Srpska.
At the press conference, she thanked the traditional sponsors of the event, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska and the City of Banja Luka, as well as the friend of the event, the company "M: tel".
Advisor for Culture in the Department of Culture, Tourism and Social Policy in the Banja Luka City Administration Nevena Blagojević Podrić said that the City supported this event this year as well, and expressed satisfaction that the Academy of Arts managed to organize this event.
She pointed out that events in the field of culture are needed because the intangible segment of life is very important.
President of the Musicological Society Prof. Dragica Panić Kašanski, PhD, pointed out that four programs have been prepared related to ethnomusicologist Vlado Milošević, which will take place on 9 and 10 June this year.
She stated that "Retrospectives and Reflections" will be organized in honour of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Vlado Milošević, entitled "Vlado Milošević Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow".
Prof. Saša Pavlović, PhD, said that, as part of the "Days of Vlado Milošević", an evening dedicated to "illuminating" the artistic work of this ethnomusicologist will be held for the sixth time.
He announced that a pilot project for the youngest called "Uncle Vlado" is to be implemented from this year. As he announced, this is a musical-educational play intended this year exclusively for pupils of the Banja Luka "Vlado Milošević" Music School.
The extensive artistic program of the event was presented by the head of the Music Art Study Programme, Prof. Dejan Trkulja, MA, and Jelena Maksimović from the "M: tel" company also gave a speech at the press conference.
The event will close on 15 June with a concert by students of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka at the Banski Dvor Centre.
Students and professors of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka, as well as prominent artists from the Republic of Serbia and the region, will participate in the programme activities of this year's event, slogan of which is "Despite It All". The art programme will be performed in the premises of the "Banski dvor" Cultural Centre, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka.
The event "Days of Vlado Milošević" has been held since 2000, and was established to mark the anniversary of the birth of this academician, composer, ethnomusicologist and pedagogue.
