Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, talked with the Chairman of Banja Luka City Assembly Zoran Talić on 5 June 2020 about the plans for cooperation in the forthcoming period.
Rector Gajanin pointed out that the University has good cooperation with the City of Banja Luka, and expressed hope that the cooperation in the coming period will be even stronger.
He also said that it is necessary to increase investments in science, and to establish cooperation with our experts abroad, which is exactly what the University does.
,,In this context, we stimulate excellence in science, and reward all those professors and associates who publish their papers in prestigious scientific journals'', the rector said.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the City Assembly said, among other things, that Banja Luka needs a scientific research institute, and that it is necessary to establish strong cooperation with experts who nowadays live and work in the diaspora.
During the meeting at the Rectorate, which was also attended by Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs Prof. Strain Posavljak, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, they also talked about capital investments in the University campus, primarily about the construction of a preschool education center and the completion of works on the construction of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.
The Chairman of Banja Luka City Assembly also visited the Institute of Genetic Resources at the University of Banja Luka.
