WUS Austria and the University of Innsbruck representative delivered training at the University of Banjaluka

On 14 April 2014, the training was delivered for lecturers and associates at the University of Banja Luka who are going to participate in the international project ''Childen's university'', which is planned for October 2014.

The project was organised by WUS Austria in cooperation with the University of Sarajevo (first phase) and the University of Mostar (second phase). In the third phase of the project, the partner of WUS Austria is the University of Banja Luka.

WUS AUSTRIA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF INNSBRUCK REPRESENTATIVES DELIVERED TRAINING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BANJA LUKA

Professors and assistants from five organizational units of the University of Banja Luka are going to participate in the project: Academy of Arts, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.

The project idea is that the University of Banja Luka host about 100 students and teachers from nine primary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina and present them its work in the way that is adjusted to the age between 9 and 12. By opening its door to children, the University of Banja Luka will create conditions for joining the network of European universities that already have this tradition, such as the University of Innsbruck (Austria).

Beside the representatives from WUS Austria, the training was led by Prof. Silvia Prock, the Director of the Children's University at the University of Innsbruck. The University of Innsbruck was established in 1669, and has 16 faculties and 78 institutes. For more information, visit www.uibk.ac.at
