2013 WORK CAMPS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) is happy to announce 4 international voluntary work camps that will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in August 2013. This is first time after several years to have work camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted by local organizations in cooperation with international network South East European Youth network and Alliance for European Voluntary Service Organizations.

ABOUT SEEYN

The South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) is a network organization involving 19 member NGOs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. The vision of SEEYN is to achieve a stable region with developed mutual understanding without prejudices among young people through their mobility, cooperation, and active role in society. SEEYN aims to promote pro-social values, peace and understanding through grassroots volunteer exchanges, advocacy actions and capacity building in organizations.

SEEYN Secretariat is based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 2013 work camp program is prepared in cooperation with SEEYN members from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4 local host organizations. The work camps are part of the SEEYN project “Learn, volunteer, share” with support from the Visegrad+ Program of the International Visegrad Fund. The aim of the project “Learn, volunteer, share” is to establish and maintain quality regional/European cooperation and networking on planning and implementation of international voluntary work camps and youth educational exchanges among organizations in Central and Eastern Europe.


PARTNERS in 2013 work camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina:

• Youth Information Agency Sarajevo and Youth Communication Centre Banja Luka – SEEYN member organizations involved in placement of volunteers and support of work camps

• Local host organization – Eko Leonardo Priboj, Youth Council Jablanica, Youth Council

Vlasenica, Democracy Centre New Hopes Bihac/Otoka

• Young Researches of Serbia – “buddy” support for placement of volunteers


GENERAL CONDITIONS

Age limit: 18 - 30

Common language used in the camps: English

Insurance: Please notice that organizers do not provide any insurance. To join the work camp in you have to be insured. Do not forget to take your insurance with you.

Eligible countries: Volunteers from ANY country in the world can apply. However, due to the objectives of “Learn, volunteer, share” project, volunteers from Central and Eastern Europe are encouraged to apply!

Costs: The organizers will provide basic accommodation, food, refreshment and working materials for all participants. Travel, visa and insurance, as well as any other costs are not provided and should be covered by volunteers themselves!

Voluntary Service Organizations OR standard SEEYN “Learn, volunteer, share” application form. Application forms should be sent to placement.bh@seeyn.org ONLY by email (we do not accept fax or applications sent by post!).
