Learning objectives
Acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of development and organization of labour safety management systems.
Learning outcomes
Acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge related to risk assessment (hazard identification, hazard assessment, risk characterization, risk management) and risk management. Ability to plan and organize the safety management systems. Training for managing changes in the labour safety systems.
Content
- Introduction to the labour safety management system. - Technical protection: The basic terms and strategic concept of labour safety. Basic concepts: danger, accident and injury. - The metodologies of hazard analysis. - Analysis of work process hazards. - Labour safety costs. - Risk management: Basic concepts of risks. Risks and the concept of probability. - Structure of risk management. - Prevention policy in labour safety: Prevention policy in the labour safety management system. - Protection measures and interventions to limit the accidents consequences. - Components of the labour safety management system. Management organization and staff involvement. - Analysis of the work process. Hazard prevention and control. - Education and training. Institution of inspection and evaluation of the labour safety management system. - Management of changes in the labour safety system. - Strategic plan for the safety improvement. - Management processes to improve safety.
Teaching Methods
Teaching is performed through theoretical lectures, exercises, multimedia presentations, colloquiums/tests and seminar work. Also for students are provided as an additional form of learning by consulting with the teacher and assistant.
