Learning objectives
The basic aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the basic processes and procedures of explosive application and mechanization under different conditions of blasting and demolition of buildings.
Learning outcomes
In this course, the characteristic cases of the application of special blasting methods and other methods of demolishing the buildings, such as blasting of constructions, demolishing of constructions with non-explosive means, blasting of chimneys, tunnels, bridges, application of special methods in various branches and blasting in specific weather conditions.
Content
- Required documentation for the demolition of buildings. Principles, methods and calculations for building demolition. - The basics of knowing the technique and technology of targeted demolition. Foundation blasting. - Blasting of buildings and structures. Demolition with laid explosive charges. - Blasting of the chimneys, towers and tall buildings. - Blasting during the road construction. Non-explosive destruction. - Impact of explosions on construction objects. - The stumps blasting. Blasting of the canals. - Blasting of architectural and building stone. - Underwater blasting. Blasting during the seismic tests. - Blasting at high temperatures. - Longhole blasting. - Blasting in agriculture. - Metal processing by blasting. - Blasting of ice and frozen terrain. - The protective means and technical protection measures.
Teaching Methods
Teaching is performed through theoretical lectures, exercises and seminar work. Also for students are provided as an additional form of learning and consultation with the teacher and assistant.
