Learning objectives
Introducing students to the basics of designing plants for the preparation of mineral resources, organization, laws, regulations and standards to be applied, project documentation, technological bases on which to design, the basic design concept on which to select locations, equipment and disposition of facilities within plants and machines and devices within the facilities, selection of equipment and verification of capacity.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to: quickly and easily upgrade the acquired knowledge; ability of analysis and synthesis; ability to plan and organize; basis for good oral and written communication; ability to obtain and analyze information; ability to solve problems and make decisions; detailed knowledge and understanding of technological preparations of mineral raw materials; sublimation of knowledge in the field of mining, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, as well as systems sciences for the needs of mechanical maintenance, exploitation and design of mining machinery; mastering the methods and procedures of preparation of mineral raw materials and their processing, as well as recycling of secondary raw materials, with special emphasis on environmental protection; connecting and combining knowledge of computer science and systems engineering in design; knowledge of systemic approaches in solving specific problems; development and improvement of skills and abilities to use knowledge from the exploitation of mineral resources in practice; development of habits for permanent information, monitoring and application of innovations in the profession; development of communication skills with the immediate work environment; development of professional ethics, responsibility and accuracy in work;
Content
Introduction. Types of projects. Projected task. Technical-technological, economic and ecological aspects of design, project documentation. Selection of locations and disposition of facilities. Determining the capacity of the plant, and processes based on project documentation. Process schemes. Concentration balances, water balances and mass movement patterns.Warehouse and bunker space. Department for crushing, crushing and sieving ore. Crushing, classification, primary, secondary and tertiary crushing. Technological characteristics of crushers. Mass movement schemes.
