    Prerequisite Form of prerequisites
    General Chemistry passed exam
    Learning objectives
By studying this subject, students are introduced to the classification of elements based on their periodic properties. They are trained to be able to draw conclusions about their application and chemistry based on the physical and chemical properties of the elements.
    Learning outcomes
The student will be familiar with the physical and chemical properties, finding, obtaining and reactivity of representative elements of the periodic system and their characteristic compounds, will be ready for safe independent work in the chemical laboratory and will know basic laboratory methods.
    Content
Introduction. Subject of study. Periodic system of elements. Periodicity of properties of elements. Hydrogen. Noble gases. Metals and non-metals. Transitional elements. Representatives of PSE groups. Introduction to work in the laboratory. Basic laboratory methods. Solutions. Chemical kinetics. Equilibrium. Complex compounds. Basic reactions of cations and anions.
    Teaching Methods
Lecture, laboratory computational and experimental exercises, independent work on laboratory reports, consultations.
