Meeting between the Rector and the President of the Syndicate for Education, Science and Culture of the Republic of Srpska

During the meeting Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin, Rector of the University of Banja Luka and Dragan Gnjatić, President of the Syndicate for Education, Science and Culture of Republic of Srpska, held on April 5, 2019, in the premises of the Rectorate, it was confirmed that there are about 1,000 members in the Syndicate at both public universities in the Republic of Srpska.

Gnjatić reminded that the branch Syndicate counts between 15,000 and 16,000 members, which, in his words, represents a significant force of the Syndicate organization.

“The Syndicate once again expresses the satisfaction with the 8% salary increase for employees in the field of education and culture, for which the total amount of 22 million BAM was allocated”, Gnjatić said.

Rector Gajanin expressed satisfaction with the Joint Policy Memorandum for the 2018-2020 period, and announced series of activities in the upcoming period.

The Rector emphasized that the University is interested in having all of its organizational units become equally competitive in the marketplace.

During the meeting it was agreed that the traditionally good cooperation between the University and this Syndicate will continue in the upcoming period.

Besides the Rector Gajanin and President Gnjatić, the meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr Biljana Lubarda, Dr. Vanja Daničić, President and Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for Higher Education, and Dragana Radulović, President of the Syndicate for the Secretariat of the University of Banja Luka.
