Memorandum of understanding: Modern equipment at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka and Save The Children NGO in North West Balkan was signed on February 14, 2019.

This MoU was signed by professor Goran Trbić, Ph.D., dean of the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics and Andrea Žeravčić, director of Save The Children NGO in North West Balkan.

It was declared that the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics and Save The Children NGO will collaborate on the Enable BIH project realization, whose main goal is to strengthen the education in the field of STEM disciplines in our country.

A STEM classroom is established at the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics, and it will be equipped with the latest equipment for education and research in the area of natural sciences. The Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics will be engaged in wide range of activities whose goal is to establish stronger connection between the faculties, secondary schools and high schools, as well as to strengthen their link with private companies. 

The signing of the MoU was done in the premises of the Faculty, and was attended by professor Radoslav Dekić, Ph.D., vice-dean for education, professor Dragan Matić, Ph.D., Head of Department of Mathematics and information technology at the Faculty, as well as Fatima Smajlović, director for development and program quality of Save The Children NGO.
